EPL Result: Joe Bryan’s goal earns a point for Fulham, draw Man Utd 1-1

Man Utd 1-1 Fulham: Joe Bryan’s goal earns a point for Fulham as they held Manchester United at Old Trafford 1-1 in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Cavani’s exquisite chip goal was not enough as Red Devils finished their home campaign with another set of points dropped.

FIRST HALF

Manchester United dominated possession in the opening few minutes and kept the visitors in their half.

The Red Devils kept the tempo high and notched up another level with some good football.

The faithful got what they deserved as Cavani scored a beautiful goal to give Manchester United a 1-0 lead in the 15^th minute.

De Gea fizzed his clearance which seemed to take a touch of Bruno and was latched on by Cavani before the Uruguayan chipped his shot over Areola and into the net for 1-0.

The keeper was off his line and Cavani chipped from distance to score a goal of pure perfection from 40 yards out.

It was a goal which reminded the fans of Cantona vs Sunderland.

Fernandes nearly made it 2-0 soon after but Areola made a good save to deny the Portuguese.

Carvalho and Anguissa were both denied by De Gea at the other hand as Fulham has decent opportunities.

United looked dangerous moving forward but could not score more as it was 1-0 at half time.

SECOND HALF

United nearly got the 2^nd goal of the day but Bruno Fernandes’ freekick was inches wide of the post.

Areola made another significant save to keep Greenwood’s effort out.

Greenwood again had the best chance of the match to finish the job for United but Areola was quick of his line to smother the shot.

United’s intensity and creativity dropped while Fulham kept themselves in the contest.

Joe Bryan equalized for Fulham in the 75^th minute from a terrific header and made it 1-1.

De Crodova-Reid’s whipped cross to the far post was headed home by Bryan to silence the crowd.

The Cottagers held on for the rest of the match and it finished Man Utd 1-1 Fulham.

Manchester United need to win their last match against Wolves to secure a 2^nd place finish.

United finished their home matches this season with a 7^th draw.
