Marco Verratti tests positive once again for Covid-19; will miss out UCL match against Bayern Munich next week


Marco Verratti has tested positive for Covid-19 once again and will miss the 1st leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Italian midfielder had tested positive for the virus in January earlier this year and once again contracted the virus.
He played two of the three World Cup Qualifying matches for the Italy in which they beat Northern Ireland and Bulgaria.
The 28-year-old suffered a thigh injury and missed the last match of Italy against Lithuania as he returned back to Paris in order to recover.
ImageIn the Ligue 1 this season, he has made 18 appearances for the Parisians and has provided 2 assists. Out of 18, he has started 15 matches for them.
He will also miss the big home match vs Lille on Saturday, as both teams have secured the same number of points being 63.
The next league match of PSG against Strasbourg will also see his absence. Pochettino will hope that the midfielder is available for the return leg of the Quarter final against Bayern Munich.
