Mason Greenwood withdraws from England squad ahead of Euro 2020, check out


Mason Greenwood: Mason Greenwood has withdrawn from England’s provisional squad for the Euro 2020 due to an underlying injury.

This is a massive blow to Southgate’s side as he names his final 26 men squad tonight for the Euros.

The youngster will fully recover for the start of the upcoming 2021-22 season as he misses out on the continental event.
Greenwood has been in fine form for Manchester United as he scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 52 matches across all competitions this season.
Mason’s injury also kept him out of the Under-21 Euro Championship in March.

His fitness managed carefully to maintain his availability through the entire 2020-21 EPL and Europa League.
But a further tournament would not be beneficial for the youngster as he aims to recuperate and prepare for pre-season training at Manchester.
Greenwood had a great season and has been touted as one of the best young players in England.
The Euro also supposed to be his platform to showcase his talent. But with this injury, he has missed out.
When Southgate announces his squad tonight, he will be fretting on the fitness of certain players like Maguire as well.
The Three Lions aim to go all the way this time with swuad on show this time.
They are in Group D along with the likes of Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland.
