Most Club World Cup titles: Chelsea became the Champions of the World last night as they lifted their maiden FIFA Club World Cup title in Abu Dhabi.

The Blues beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the final to register their 1st trophy of the campaign with Lukaku and Havertz scoring the crucial strikes.

After their UCL success last season, picking up the FIFA Club World Cup title has officially made them the Club Champions once again.

Lifting this title has not been easy for many clubs across Europe and without further ado, we look at the top 5 clubs with the most FIFA Club World Cup honors.

Liverpool

ImageThe Reds picked up their 1st ever FIFA Club World Cup title in 2019 when they beat Flamengo 1-0 in the finals.

Firmino’s strike in extra time made the difference as Liverpool won the title in Doha.

Liverpool entered this tournament as winners of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League, where they beat Spurs in the Final.

Bayern Munich has won the FIFA Club World Cup twice in 2013 and 2020. In the 2013 edition, they beat Raja Casablanca in the finals by 2-0.

Dante and Thiago scored the goals to ensure Bayern win their maiden FIFA Club WC title.

This was followed by another one in 2020 as Bayern beat UANL 1-0 in the finals. Pavard scored the only goal as Bayern completed the Sextuple season that year.

The Brazilian side has won 2 FIFA Club World Cup titles in their history being in 2000 and 2012.

In the 2012 final, they came up against Chelsea and emerged victorious 1-0 through Guerrero’s second half-effort.

Barcelona

ImageBarcelona has won 3 FIFA Club World Cup titles in 2009, 2011 and 2015. Two of the above three have come under the management of ex-Barcelona player and coach, Pep Guardiola.

They also are tied with Real Madrid for most final appearances in the competition.

Los Blancos is at the top of the pile having won this competition a record 4 times in their history.

Real Madrid has emerged victorious in the 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

During his time at Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo became the competition’s highest scorer ever with 7 goals whereas Zidane led Real Madrid to 2 titles as manager.
