Jazz was able to pull out a win in Game 1 with ease because of the great effort from Donovan Mitchell who scored 45 points in the game. Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points each. Mike Conley’s status for Game 2 is still a question mark following his hamstring soreness. For Utah to remain on the lead it will require another player capable of generating offense.

Clippers:
Kawhi alone cannot make things right for the Clippers and need to get Paul George going. Kawhi scored 23 points and George scored 20 points in Game 1. George seemed very inconsistent in the 1st round against the Mavericks, and he had struggled mightily in Game 1 against the Jazz as well. That’s not nearly enough production from Paul who is supposed to be the team’s second offensive option.

Game prediction:
While Donovan Mitchell had an amazing outing in Game 1, Kawhi and George did not. The Clippers fell behind the Mavericks 2-0 in the 1st round, and though they were ultimately able to make a comeback and win the series. They know what they are capable of and will definitely avoid a similar hole. The Clippers should be able to tie the series at 1-1.
