Real Madrid win UCL: It was yet another record-breaking night for Real Madrid in Paris as they lifted their 14th UEFA Champions League title.

Los Blancos once again showed why they are the best in the business when it comes to European nights as they managed a 1-0 win over Liverpool at the Stade de France.

Vinicius Junior found the back of the net in the 2nd half to give Real Madrid yet another European crown and also helped his side achieve a list of feats.

Carlo Ancelotti with last night’s win became the first manager in the history of the competition to win the title 4 times.

The ex-Everton manager won the trophy twice with AC Milan in 2003, 2007 and now has added another collection to his list with the 2014 and 2022 triumphs.

He is now the record holder for most UCL titles beating Zidane, Paisley and Sir Alex Ferguson (3 titles each).

UCL 5th title- 9 Champions

For a number of Real Madrid players, last night was indeed another step towards greatness as 9 of their squad-players lifted a 5th UCL title.

Marcelo, Nacho, Modric, Kroos, Bale, Benzema, Carvajal, Casemiro and Isco are the players who have won 5 UCL titles.

They have all equalled club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo for having won most UCL titles.

ImageA team from England has never beaten a team from Spain from the past 20 years in a UCL final.

Liverpool could have broken this record last night but Thibaut Courtois did not let them pass as the stopper was magnificent between the sticks.

Courtois made 9 saves for his club as he won his 1st ever UEFA Champions League title after coming so close on a number of occasions.

The 9 saves made is a record in itself for most saves made in a UCL final since 2003-04.

Since the competition was reformed in 1992, Real Madrid are 8/8 in UEFA Champions League finals.

This signifies mental strength, toughness and ability to step up when it matters. The Spanish side were 2nd best in the first half with Liverpool having the better chances, but managed to up their game in the second half which led them to yet another title.

Real Madrid are truly made for the Champions League as they won an 8th final since 1992.
