Rhea Ripley fought her first ever Wrestlemania match on the Night 2 of Wrestlemania 37th for the RAW Women’s Championship. Asuka had a really long reign as the RAW Women’s Champion before her fight with Rhea Ripley.
Asuka and Rhea both had the fire in them against each other. Rhea challenged Asuka for the RAW Women’s title as soon as she made her debut at WWE RAW. Both the superstars engaged in a brawl at RAW during their contract signing for the Wrestlemania match.
Asuka and Rhea also enrolled into a Tag Team match as partners against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. The match was in Asuka and Rhea’s hands if not for Rhea’s betrayal on Asuka. Rhea pushed Asuka down the rope leading Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to land their teamwork onto Asuka and win the Tag Team contest.
The fight between both the women superstars was tough and highly competitive. Asuka landed some of her best moves onto Rhea from slams to submission holds. Meanwhile Rhea, being a prodigy, went on to display her NXT cultivated skills onto the Women’s Champion.
Towards the end of the one on one match, Rhea landed her finisher onto Asuka and went for the pinfall. Rhea became the superstar who won the RAW Women’s Championship on her first shot.
