Salman Alfaraj will be part of his 2^nd ever FIFA World Cup and a first as captain.

The Green Falcons were knocked out of the group stage in the 2018 edition and will be looking to make amends in Qatar this time around.

Saudi Arabia’s 26-man squad are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Al-Yami, Mohammed Al-Owais and Nawaf Al-Aqidi

Midfielders: Abdullah Otayf, Riyadh Sharahili, Abdulelah Almalki, Ali Alhassan, Yasser Alshahrani, Mohammed Alburayk, Hattan Bahbri, Sami Alnajei, Salman Alfaraj (C), Nasser Aldawsari and Mohamed Kanno

Forwards: Salem Aldawsari, Saleh Alshehri, Feras Albrikan, Abdulrahman Alaboud, Haitham Asiri and Fahad Almuwallad

Saudi Arabia know they are put against the wall with their fixtures as they play Argentina, Mexico and Poland due to which qualification for the next round is considered a miracle.

However, they hope to better last World Cup’s record of winning just 1 match before exiting in the group stage.
