📥 Verdict: Our star player, Mehdi Taremi, is banging in goals for Porto in the league and Champions League. This is our golden generation & we’re being wildly underestimated going into this tournament. pic.twitter.com/s2slqnsF2L

Iran poses a wide variety of experience in attack and mid-field with the likes of Taremi, Ansarifard, Azmoun and Jahanbakhsh holding fort.
Given the nature of this time’s World Cup being mid-season, we can expect surprises as all teams are returning from a partly played domestic season.
A win or two early on for them could see them have the required spark and energy to ensure progress.
They lack match-winning experience in terms of titles but a chance to play at the World Stage is where they aspire to be.
