MATCH PREVIEW:
Saudi Arabia and Germany go head-to-head in their 2nd match of Group D in the men’s football tournament on Sunday.
Both sides are coming off defeats and need to bounce back as they look to stay relevant in the competition.
The Saudi side were defeated by Ivory Coast 2-1 on Thursday in their opening match of the group stage.
In a match which went back and forth, Amri’s OG and Kessié’s strikes proved crucial as the African side registered the win. Al-Dawsari scored for the Saudi side.
On the other hand, Germany was beaten 4-2 by Brazil in the 1st matchday in a thriller. Richarlison grabbed a hat-trick within 30 minutes followed by Paulinho’s goal.
Die Mannschaft scored through Amiri and Ache but it could not stop the Brazilian side from opening their account.
Arnold was sent off after he received 2 yellow cards so Germany will not have him available for this one.
Germany were the runners up in the 2016 Olympics and will want to put their reputation to good use with clinical performances.
Both sides need a win. Hence, the competition is expected to go down to the wire.
