Football Managers in 2023: We are soon headed into 2023 with the football season continuing post a sensational 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Managers are the main talisman when it comes to leading a squad as they use their experience, skill in gelling a team together.
Some of the top managers have succeeded in getting the group together as they aim to establish a winning team.
There are some top-level managers going around in European football who are not coaching and could become targets in 2023.
Without further ado, we look at the top 4 managers who are currently without a job as we approach 2023.
Luis Enrique
Enrique stepped down as Spain’s manager following their Round of 16 loss to Morocco in the World Cup 2022.
Hence, he has become a valid option for teams looking to get in quality and an experienced manager ahead of the 2023 season.
Luis has previously coached Barcelona where he won 9 trophies which includes 2 La Liga, 3 Copa del Rey and 1 UEFA Champions League title.

As Spain manager, he was able to guide La Roja to runners-up finish in the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League as well.
Thomas Tuchel

The German manager was sacked earlier this season from his post as Chelsea manager and remains another top manager vying for a job.
Tuchel has previously managed Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Mainz 05. His best achievement amongst the three was getting PSG to runners-up finish in the 2019-20 season.
Thomas Tuchel moved to Chelsea in January 2021 after the mid-season firing of Lampard. He galvanized his troops in the remainder of the season and led them to a UEFA Champions League crown in 2020-21.
Mauricio Pochettino

The Argentina manager is another one on the lookout for a job in 2023 after he left PSG at the end of the 2022 season.
PSG won the Ligue 1 last season following which Pochettino was removed from the managerial post.
He won a total of 3 trophies with the French side before which he was Spurs’ head coach for 4.5 seasons.

Pochettino has previously managed at Espanyol as well from January 2009-November 2012.
Mauricio is known for his fighting spirit and uplifting a Spurs side; who reached their best UCL position when they finished runners-up in 2018-19.
Zinedine Zidane
The Frenchman was a serial winner during his playing days and continued the same once he become a manager.
He was the only manager in the history of the game to manage Real Madrid to a hat-trick of UCL titles in succession. Zidane won 11 trophies with Los Blancos during his time from 2016-2021.
The ex-Real Madrid manager has the most impressive CV amongst the current available managers and is a prime target if any vacancy becomes available.
