Top football signings 2022: The transfer window is once again in a frenzy as a number of incomings and outgoings from and to various clubs rules the roost.

Since the season ended last month, all clubs are on the lookout in order to build their squads for the upcoming football season.

While some top sides have already completed a large part of their business, others are striving to get active and get their dealings completed.

It’s been close to a month since the window opened and we have already seen a number of vital football signings done in this time span.

As we inch closer to the 2022-23 football season. We look at the top 5 football signings in the transfer window so far that have gained coverage.

Antonio Rüdiger

ImageThe ex-Chelsea defender was a long-term target for Real Madrid ahead of the new season and the Los Blancos completed the acquisition recently.

German defender, Antonio Rüdiger signed for the Spanish champions on a free transfer with the 29-year-old being presented the number 22 jersey.

Real Madrid strengthened their defence last season with the arrival of Alaba and now with Rüdiger; the two could form a vital partnership.

With the outgoing Marcelo, the La Liga holders have got themselves a top signing as a replacement.

The German will be extremely vital in his new surroundings next season under Ancelotti.

Ivan Perisic

ImageTottenham confirmed the signing of Ivan Perisic on a free transfer from Inter earlier this month.

The Croatian joined Spurs on a two-year deal and will re-join his ex-coach, Antonio Conte in North London.

Conte worked with Perisic during his time at Inter and was successful in helping Inter lift the Scudetto in 2020-21 season.

Perisic will provide experience, quality and leadership in mid-field for the North London side and is one of the smartest buys of the window so far.

The French youngster moved to Real Madrid from Monaco in the current window for an estimated €80M on a six-year deal.

Tchouaméni impressed one and all last season in mid-field and is a versatile player gifted with skills. He emerged as one of the brightest young players in Europe last season.

In 35 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco, he scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists.

He represents threats at both ends of the pitch and has the ability to make successful passes in opposition half.

The youngster may need to await his chance in Madrid but it sure to dazzle the crowd when he gets it.

Darwin Nunez

Benfica forward, Darwin Nunez completed his move to the EPL with Liverpool snapping up the man for €55M.

The forward comes off a rich vein of form for Benfica scoring 34 goals across all competitions for the Portuguese side.

Nunez is set to be the replacement of outgoing Sadio Mané; who will join Bayern Munich before the start of next season.

Nunez’s move to the Reds could just be the catalyst Jurgen Klopp’s team needs as they aim for another EPL title after falling short twice by the slightest of margins.

Erling Haaland

Surely, the signing of the season so far has to be the arrival of Erling Haaland at Manchester City.

The Norwegian has been a long-term target for various clubs across Europe and is one of the brightest prospects in world Football.

Haaland joined the Blue Half of Manchester from Dortmund for €60M and will be their target man for goals next season.

City won the EPL title last season without a centre-forward and with the arrival of Erling, the headache shifts to the opposition defenders.

Haaland has an emotional connect with Man City as his father played for the club and would look to create a similar impression like he did.
