World football has seen a number of teams attain glory and today we see the top 5 nations with the most international football trophies attained.
Germany
One of Europe’s biggest powerhouses of football in Germany has won 8 titles in their history.
This includes 4 FIFA World Cups, 3 Euro titles and 1 FIFA Confederations Cup.
From Gerd Müller to Miroslav Klose, the German side has seen a number of players turn up at the World stage and become legends.
Germany is the most successful European nation in football and enter tournaments as favorites almost every time.
Mexico
Mexico is next in line with 12 trophies to their name, including 11 CONCACAF Championships/ Gold Cup and 1 FIFA Confederations Cup.
The North American Nation became a member of the CONCACAF in 1961, and have since been regular winners of the tournament.
Mexico has produced the likes of Hugo Sanchez, Rafael Marquezand many more which have created legendary status in world football.
Success at the CONCACAF stage is a step in the right direction and it won’t be long before El Tri gets cracking at World Cups.
Uruguay

Argentina has won 18 titles in their history including 2 FIFA World Cups, 15 Copa America and 1 FIFA Confederations Cup.
Messi and Maradona are undoubtedly the two greatest players to have graced the footballing turf.

Brazil has won 5 FIFA World Cups , 9 Copa America and 4 FIFA Confederation honours. From producing the greatest player in history, Pele to the likes of Zico, Ronaldo and more; Brazil is in itself an institution of football.
Brazil is the only country to have the WC on 4 different continents; that in itself is a statement.
