MATCH PREVIEW:
The Italian side began their pre-season under new manager, Maurizio Sarri in fine style as they beat Firoi Barp Mas 11-0.
Alberto scored a hat-trick, Caicedo and Muriqi scored a brace each before Anderson, Hysaj, Marusic and Akpa-Akpro completed the mauling.
Sarri could not have asked for a better start from his boys even though he was missing some players.
Lazio were not at their best in the Serie A and managed a 6th place finish which sent them to the UEL.
On the other hand, Triestina were narrowly edged out against Roma 1-0 in their warm up match on Wednesday.
Zalewski’s second half goal was enough to give Roma a significant win but it also showed Triestina’s valiant effort after they played well in the second half.
If Triestina can play in similar manner vs Lazio, we could be in for a good clash.
These two sides last met in a club friendly match in 2019 which finished 5-2 in favor of Lazio.
Goals from Immobile, Correa, Milinkovic-Savic and Caicedo (2) gave them the win. Codromaz and Marzalo scored for Triestina then.
