Manchester United made light work of Real Sociedad as they strolled to a comfortable 4-0 victory in Turin.
Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring after he capitalized on a lovely ball from Rashford which caused a defensive error, making him score through an empty net.
Bruno was on target yet again as Rashford’s ball was picked out by James, who took a touch before the Portuguese curled it home for 2-0.
Fred’s through ball on the counter was precise and in the path of Rashford who calmly slotted home for 3-0 before a beautiful solo goal from James; who with loads of space on the right wing ran into the box to slot beyond the keeper.
Manchester United could have been out of sight in the first half had Rashford and James taken their chances but they will not mind now.
Real Sociedad were poor throughout the game and now have a mountain to climb if they want to advance to the next stage. Unless they produce something special at Old Trafford for the return leg next week, it all seems done and dusted.
