WWE News: The Undertaker admits that his career in WWE affected his family

The Undertaker was recently interviewed on the True Geordie podcast about his time on the road. The wrestling veteran admitted that he got caught up in the gimmick, even when he got home.

This is something that, in his opinion, makes life at home difficult, since he is not in tune with what he would like.

“I can safely say that there was an eight-year stretch where I averaged over 250 dates a year on the road.

As you can imagine, I was so immersed in the work that I had to believe in my own character. No I could go home,” he admitted.

“We were out 40 days, he was coming home for five, at the beginning of the third day off, he was ready to hit the road again.”

“I’m conditioned to always be on the go. I wasn’t on the same page with my wife at the time.

Probably the biggest negative was my oldest son, I missed him growing up. I wish I’d been a better man and realized that”.

He believes that his children paid dearly for his absence

“My older children had to pay a sacrifice for me to do and become what I am. You can look back, you learn from your mistakes,” he reflected.

“I was lucky enough to get remarried, Michelle and I, we have little kids now. So I was lucky enough to get a second chance at being a father and a husband.

But I didn’t have to be married while I was trying to build this character and this legacy.” .”

The relationship with his eldest son is good today

“Our relationship is good now, but the thing is, I missed a lot of things. I wasn’t there to play ball with him and all that,” he said.

“I was lucky that he realized that he wanted to give me a second chance.
