WWE NXT Result: Live NXT Result & Highlight, Winner & Grade – 24th August 2021

WWE NXT Result: USA Network will broadcast the 469th weekly WWE NXT show tonight. This week’s show features several highlights, such as Samoa Joe’s first appearance as the newly crowned NXT Champion, the Breakout Tournament finals between Oddysey Jones and Carmelo Hayes, and a Six-Man Tag match between Legacy of the Phantom and Hit. This week’s show begins with Cameron Grimes and Ted DiBiase arriving at the venue in a limousine for their celebration, as at NXT TakeOver 36. Grimes defeated LA Knight to win the Million Dollar Championship.

In the ring, DiBiase says that he has finally found someone who can carry the millionaire legacy because Grimes is a guy who never gives up. The audience chants “you deserve it.”

Grimes says that for a moment he felt aimless in NXT. But since TakeOver 36, he and DiBiase finished off Knight and captured the gold. Grimes wonders where he is going now, but immediately they both reply “to the moon!”  A rain of bills bathes the audience to end the segment.

Here are the highlights of NXT TakeOver: 36, from Kay Lee Ray’s debut in NXT USA, to the victories of Ilja Dragunov or Samoa Joe.

Before the first fight of the night, Hit Row arrives at the venue in an off-road car.

WWE NXT Result

Timothy Thatcher (with Tommaso Ciampa) vs.  Ridge Holland (with Pete Dunne)

Both rivals exchange Headlocks and Uppercuts. Thatcher works Holland’s leg at canvas level. Although he soon gets Uppercuts again. Elbow to the face of Holland and Bodyslam against the ropes.

After a brief dominance by Holland, Thatcher surprises with a Belly-to-Back Suplex and a variant of Octopus Hold with elbows to the ribs. Holland recovers with a Suplex, Thatcher reverts a second attempt to a Kimura Lock and Uppercut to the nape. Holland reverts a Fujiwara Armbar to a Lariat and the fight goes to ringside.

Thatcher is seen rushed in the match at canvas level and after several kicks to the chest and knees to the head.  Thatcher recovers after suffering an Elbow Drop and a Headlock. Uppercuts swap, Thatcher’s Bodyslam on the ropes, returning the favor, and Single Leg Boston Crab.

Holland blocks an Enzuigiri, hits with a header and takes the victory after Northern Grit.
Winner: Ridge Holland (with Pete Dunne) via pinfall.

Tommaso Ciampa attacks Ridge Holland after the fight. Although Pete Dunne comes to help his partner.  Ciampa dispatches Dunne with relative ease but is outmatched by Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan.  At ringside, Holland and Dunne become entangled with Timothy Thatcher.

Carmelo Hayes talks about his brief passage through NXT and is very confident for the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament. Carmelo thinks he has to watch out for Oddysey Jones because of his size and speed. And when asked what will be next in his career if he wins tonight, he responds: “We will have to find out.  But at the end of the day, I assure you that you will see me with the gold. “

We remember what happened last week when Indi Hartwell proposed to Dexter Lumis. Backstage, the fiancees confirm that the wedding will be on Tuesday, September 14.

Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne
Carter and Dolin begin. Carter dispatches Dolin with a Running Dropkick, although after a distraction, Catanzaro is attacked from behind by her rivals.

Dolin and Jayne’s Bronco Buster maintains aggressive dominance with a Senton and kicks.  Carter manages to receive the relief and enters the ring with his comeback, finished in a combination of Dropkick / Splash and Running Big Boot against the ropes to Dolin.

Jayne’s Bicycle Kick on Carter, but Catanzaro stops the count of three.  450 Splash over Jayne and victory.

Raquel Gonzalez speaks backstage about Kay Lee Ray’s arrival at NXT USA. Though she is soon interrupted by Franky Monet, Robert Stone, and Jessi Kamea. Monet confirms her intention to go for the Gonzalez championship.

After the match, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter tell the commentators that they intend to go after the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Oddysey Jones is interviewed for the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament. Jones says this is the best moment of her career and it’s exciting to have a starting shot.

She claims that she knew she was going to be in WWE, but she could never imagine what would happen so soon.  When asked what will be the next to win, Jones does not want to think long term. But go step by step. He believes that tonight will be a difficult test. But he will do everything possible to win.

Kay Lee Ray vs. Valentina feroz
Ray crushes Fierce’s arm in an aggressive start.  Fierce with elbows to the face, although she ends up getting a Gut Kick and a Facebuster. Ray’s Body Slam, kicks to her torso and punishment to the lower back against the corner protectors.

Feroz throws Ray against the ropes with a Dropkick, though she ends up getting a Superkick. Gory Bomb and victory.

Backstage, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne then asked about her defeat. Both interrupted by Mandy Rose, who tells them to go with her if they don’t want to carry the slab of defeat.  Both fighters follow Mandy.

Newly crowned three-time NXT Champion Samoa Joe enters the ring.  Joe says that at NXT TakeOver 36 he faced the most dominant champion in NXT, and his victory is synonymous with celebration.

Joe’s experience tells him that to be an NXT champion is to be the king of the wild, and that tension is something that can be felt in the environment.  Joe launches a challenge and wonders who dares to stand up to him: “the time has come, the champion is waiting.”

Pete Dunne answers the call and asks that William Regal make the match official, but is interrupted by LA Knight.  Knight also wants a shot at Joe, but Kyle O’Reilly shows up in the ring.

O’Reilly recalls the common past he has with Joe and justifies a starting shot for his victory at the Undisputed Finale.  However, he attacked from behind by Ridge Holland. Joe and Dunne come to blows, but Tommaso Ciampa joins the action and fights with the Briton.  Everyone fights everyone and only Joe and Ciampa remain.

WWE NXT Result

Cameron Grimes and Ted DiBiase leave the venue. DiBiase says that all good things come to an end, so Grimes hands him the Million Dollar Championship.

However, DiBiase wants him to have it, so he can think about him and remember all that they have accomplished every time he looks at it.  Grimes regains the championship but realizes that it is made of a somewhat different material: he realizes that DiBiase has replaced it with a WWE Shop replica.  DiBiase laughs and drives away in his limo before a bewildered Grimes.

Backstage, Kyle O’Reilly is asked about the Ridge Holland attack.  However, he is confronted by Duke Hudson and the two fight until they have to be separated.

NXT Breakout Tournament – Finals
Oddysey Jones vs.  Carmelo Hayes
Jones asks to shake his opponent’s hand as a sign of respect, but Carmelo takes advantage of the gesture to lock him in a Headlock.

However, Jones throws him from one side of the ring to the other, although eventually, Carmelo proceeds with a Dropkick to the chest and another to the knee.  Enzuigiri, he tries a Springboard and crashes into Jones as if it were a concrete block.

Carmelo recovers looking for a variant of Sleeper Hold after dodging an attack on the cornerback, Bicycle Kick, and Springboard Lariat.  Second Bicycle Kick, Running Knee to the jaw and Swinging Facebuster followed by an Ax Kick for the count of two.  Jones reverts a Swinging DDT attempt to a Shoulder Breaker, but looking for the count of three, Carmelo escapes outside.

Jones ends up hitting one of the posts in the ring, Diving Scissors Kick, and when he tries a second time, Jones dodges to apply a Splash.  Crucifix Pin and victory.

After the fight, William Regal offers Carmelo Hayes the contract that allows him to challenge any champion of the brand.  Carmelo asks Oddysey Jones for respect for the fight, and when asked what championship he will aspire to, he doesn’t offer a concrete answer.

Pete Dunne, accompanied by Ridge Holland, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan, says that he doesn’t care how many people claim a shot at the NXT Championship, as sooner rather than later, he will end up crowning himself as the new champion.

Burch says he’s back after five years, and Lorcan stresses that they never lost the NXT Tag Team Championships, so they deserve a rematch.  On his side, Holland tells Tommaso Ciampa that he will suffer the same fate as Timothy Thatcher.

In a short segment, Boa says that a new victim will succumb to Tian Sha tonight.

Ilja Dragunov, the new NXT UK Champion, is confirmed to be in WWE NXT next week.

Boa vs.  Xyon Quinn
Boa begins with knees to the stomach and a lot of striking in the corner.  Mei Ying, leader of Tian Sha, rises from his throne and Boa offers him a bow.  Taking advantage of the distraction, Quinn lands a forearm punch for a surprising victory.
Winner: Xyon Quinn via pinfall.

Johnny Gargano meets William Regal backstage. Gargano asks that the wedding between Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis be canceled, but Regal believes that the relationship started in NXT and that is the reason why they will celebrate the wedding, so Gargano is furious.

However, LA Knight interrupts the conversation and complains about what happened with Samoa Joe, but expelled from the office along with Gargano.
