WWE SmackDown Result & Highlight: Live Results, Highlights, Winner, Grade, Reaction, Analysis, Videos – 13th August 2021

WWE Smackdown Result: SmackDown kicks off by greeting commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.

John Cena comes out, looks into the camera and mentions that this is an essential evening. A video looks back on the recent events between Reigns and Cena.

Back at the BOK Center: Cena mentions the start of school and in that regard it is time to give Reigns his report card.  Cena regards the “Tribal Chief” as a disappointment and so he gets a six at SummerSlam. Cena wants to know what Tulsa thinks about it. The audience responded with loud cheers and a “CENA” chant.

Cena wants to know more and asks the visitors on site if they assume that Reigns will beat him up at SummerSlam. This is followed by more boos than applause. Cena knows the answer, however, because Reigns is about to beat him up at SummerSlam.  “But I also know that Roman Reigns is going to lose at SummerSlam and there is nothing he can do about it.”

While Roman Reigns walks to the ring with Paul Heyman, the commentators promote some of the highlights of today’s issue.

Back from the first commercial break: Reigns and Heyman enter the ring and Cena introduces Reigns – the audience boos. Heyman hands Reigns the microphone and holds up the WWE Universal Championship.

Reigns doesn’t want the Cena to waste its time. Cena makes it clear that he’s not wasting his time. He’ll wait until SummerSlam to expose Reigns on the biggest stage of them all.  Reigns asks if that’s all Cena has to offer. Cena says that’s all he needs.  With Reigns he sees a guy who thinks this is his show and everyone has to play by their rules.

Also, Reigns thinks this is his company.  John Cena returned because he’s the only one who can silence Reigns. Cena has been asked to come back to take on Reings and that’s exactly what he’s going to do. Cena is about to spank Reigns at SummerSlam. John Cena wants to know on which side the fans are positioning themselves – Cena are cheering many more fans – Reigns grins.

The Tribal Chief thought fans were getting something original and fresh, but cheap jokes follow instead.  Reigns expects more from Cena in this regard.

“I don’t have to prove myself to you Roman, because that’s the historical part of what’s going on here. I just have to pin you!”  Cena will become a 17-time champion and the most decorated champion of all time if he beats Reigns for the title at SummerSlam.

Reigns further states that he and Cena are completely different.  Despite everything, he respects Cena, because Cena is arguably the greatest of all time and has not been sufficiently respected.  It will make him proud to defeat Cena.

Cena juggles Hollywood and WWE with too little time to promote all of his films, but Cena is good enough to face the Tribal Chief and even good enough to win the WWE Championship, but he’s not good enough, to reach this goal.

Reigns alludes to twenty years of proselytizing that was good for Cena but not good enough for Nikki Bella.  “I’m going to crush you and keep this title. I’ll get you on a private jet and send you back to Hollywood!” Reigns clarifies.  Audiences should enjoy the time with Cena, who could be the last time they’ll see him.

Unconcerned, Cena pokes fun at Reigns before reminding himself that Reigns nearly ruined Seth Rollins and drove Dean Ambrose out of the WWE. Reigns had the system protected and it still works.

Cena ultimately makes it clear that he will achieve his goal because after defeating Reigns he will be a 17-time champion.  Cena ends the promo with: “The Champ is gone, 1-2-3!”

Backstage: King Nakamura and Rick Boogs prepare for their performance.

In-Ring: In-Ring: Seth Rollins steps into the ring and describes the audience in Tulsa as fire and flames.  His sources have told him that Edge is not there – the audience is booing.  Rollins says he’s just as disappointed because he would like to beat Edge after he has been spreading lies and misinformation about him over the past week.

A loud “WE WANT EDGE” chant breaks out.  Rollins calls its rival Edge Lite.  The rated R superstar can’t stand that Rollins’ career was a little better.  Rollins has a video evidence in the form of a career review of him and Edge.

The video shows the then wrestling stable “The Brood”, which originally consisted of Edge, Christian & Gangrel.  As the video progresses, the achievements of Edge and Rollins are compared and of course Seth Rollins was portrayed much better.

Back in the ring: Rollins insists that the video doesn’t lie – the audience chants after Edge.  Rollins had a revelation.  Edge and the fans should be grateful because if he caught Edge with a curb stomp back in 2014, they wouldn’t even have that conversation and their dream match wouldn’t happen either.

Edge’s comeback is now coming to an end, as is his acting career.  His wife and children will push Edge in a wheelchair after their match – another “EDGE” chant breaks out.

Rollins reminds us that it’s not 2014 anymore and it has changed over time.  Rollins won’t hesitate or hold back.  “I’m going to stomp your head on that mat, and if that puts you out of action forever, so be it!”

To do this, he brought a credit card scanner that is connected to his smartphone.

Kevin Owens comes out and Corbin is a little confused by his presence because he doesn’t know if his device accepts Canadian credit cards. Owens wants Corbin to stop doing that. He recalls that Corbin ruined Finn Bálor’s deal and asked Drew McIntyre for $ 100,000. Owens offers Corbin his support, but only if he can defeat him. But if he defeats Corbin, begging must stop. Corbin agrees, but blames Owens for his predicament. For that he collects a stunner!

Then Zelina Vega and Carmella go into the ring. Sasha Banks signs the contract and Bianca Belair does the same. Zelina Vega, Carmella and Sasha Banks want to beat up Bianca Belair.

But the SmackDown Womens Champ defends himself, but only for a short time. Bianca has to admit defeat against the Heel Trio. Belair concludes with “The Boss” in the Banks statement on the table. That ends the show.
