WWE Smackdown Result: Live WWE Smackdown Result & Highlight, Winner & Grade – 03rd September 2021
WWE SmackDown Result: SmackDown kicks off with a video review of the events of the Bloodline’s Family Celebration from the previous week. Finn Bálor challenged Roman Reigns to a title match tonight.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves greet the audience. Cole announced that Pat McAfee is getting better and will be back next week for Friday Night SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos make their way to the ring. Jimmy wonders why The Street Profits got involved in their family business over the past week. Jey knows they don’t respect the family and the Head of the Tables.
The Street Profits interrupt and get big applause for it. Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins poke fun at The Usos, reminding them that they could embarrass Jimmy & Jey right in front of the “Head of the Table”. Angelo Dawkins wonders if The Usos have now received permission from Reigns.
Roman Reigns (w / Paul Heyman) watches the first match of the evening from his locker room.

1st match
Championship Contender Match
The Street Profits: Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins def. The Usos: Jimmy & Jey by DQ after Jimmy Ford was promoted twice against the ring post and because Jimmy was not the legal man during the match
After the match: The Usos pounce on and beat Dawkins until Dawkins dives out of the ring and lands on The Usos. Afterwards, Dawkins and Ford go to the commentator’s desk and celebrate their victory.
Backstage: Roman Reigns asks Paul Heyman to bring him his cousins. Heyman leaves the locker room and meets Kayla. Braxton tries to interview Heyman, but his smartphone rings. His ringtone was Brock Lesnar’s Entrance Theme. Heyman ignores the first call, but the second time Heyman answers and says he’ll deliver the message. Heyman is clearly uncomfortable.
When Heyman tries to leave the scene, sees a man in a janitor’s outfit. The caretaker, however, is Big E, who laughs at Heyman and mocks him with the Money in the Bank suitcase.

Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax
Tag Team Turmoil Match
In-Ring: SmackDown Women’s Champ Becky Lynch makes his way to the ring and is cheered. This is followed by a video review of Bianca Belair’s victory in the previous week’s Fatal-Four-Way Elimination Match. With that she has earned a title match.
Back in the ring: The fans chant “BECKY” loudly. “The Man” is delighted but explains that she didn’t get a “YOU DESERVE IT” chant on SmackDown last week after returning. The audience follows your request and chants “YOU DESERVE IT!” – Becky is happy.
“The Man” goes on to explain that she didn’t get a chance to talk about Belair because she was interrupted by everyone in the locker room. Mixed reactions from the audience to Belair followed.
Becky claims to have saved Belair’s match at SummerSlam after Sasha Banks failed to play. In addition, Belair should not complain about the quick title win. The audience cheers again.

Belair’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring to great applause. The audience chants “EST”. Belair continues to worry about the quick 26 second title loss and admits it was embarrassing and she is still injured. However, this is not meant to be an excuse, as she continues to be confident and certainly doesn’t blame another person for it just to build herself up with it.
Belair promises to win back the title. But she knew that Becky would not grant her a rematch and therefore took matters into her own hands and earned the title match. Because Reigns is putting his title on the line tonight, Bianca challenges Becky to a match as well. A loud “EST” chant breaks out. Becky thinks about it for a moment, but refuses Belair’s challenge. Becky leaves the ring and is booed loudly for it.
Backstage: Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are on the road together until Ziggler sees Toni Storm and stops with her. “The Showoff” welcomes Storm to SmackDown and asks if she’ll be watching his match. Storm admits she plans to watch the match, but will keep her fingers crossed for Rick Boogs.
2nd match
Rick Boogs (w / King Nakamura) defeated Dolph Ziggler (w / Robert Roode) with the Pump Handle Slam after one minute and 30 seconds
Backstage: Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce confront Becky Lynch. Deville announces that Becky will risk her WWE Extreme Rules title against Bianca Belair. Pearce added that the signing of the title match will take place next week at Super SmackDown in Madison Square Garden, New York.
Backstage: Seth Rollins sees tonight as a new beginning as he will break away from Edge. He watched his SummerSlam match several times and learned from Edge. He will use everything he has learned to defeat his old archenemy Cesaro.
3rd match
Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins on DQ after Rollins blocked an uppercut with a chair
After the match: Rollins breaks a bar from the chair and uses the piece against Cesaro via crossface. Rollins then releases the grip and stomps Cesaro. But that’s not all, because Rollins brings another chair into the ring because he wants to show a Conchairto.

Suddenly the music from Edge sounds and the rated R superstar comes out for the save. Edge gets huge reactions and the fans chant his name loudly. Rollins withdraws.
Backstage: Roman Reigns and The Usos discuss their strategy for today. Paul Heyman shows up and speaks to Reigns because they have a problem. Reigns doesn’t care about Finn Bálor. Heyman explains that they have a problem with Brock Lesnar.
Heyman tells Reigns that Lesnar called him and will be in New York for the next week. Lesnar is also following today’s edition of SmackDown in Saskatchewan.
Reigns wonders how Heyman knew Lesnar’s whereabouts from. Heyman says he doesn’t know and “The Beast” could of course also be in Minnesota. Reigns gets doubts and wonders if Lesnar might even be here in the arena.
We see the arrival of “Happy Corbin” in his brand new vehicle. He hands interviewer Megan Morant the keys and asks her not to scratch his new baby.
Backstage: Kayla Braxton talks to Edge about Rollins. The rated R supertar knows what game Seth Rollins is playing. But he has to stop doing it. Edge challenges Rollins to a match at Madison Square Garden.
In-Ring: The KO Show
Kevin Owens welcomes the audience to the KO show. He wastes no time and introduces his guest “Happy Corbin”. Corbin walks into the ring and thanks Owens for his latest streak of luck. Corbin announces a special guest and introduces Logan to Paul. This goes into the ring with loud boos.
Corbin and Paul Logan get along well, because after Logan’s brother Jake Paul won the boxing match against Tyron Woodley, they both hung out together. Logan booed again.

Owens makes fun of Paul and Corbin. Paul offers Owens money and makes fun of the way he looks. Owens refuses his money and tells him to get out of his ring forever.
Logan stands in Owens’ way and pushes him. Owens pushes back and the two of them clash. When Owens tries to attack Logan, Corbin attacks him with the microphone. Logan laughs when Corbin chokeslam Owens.
Backstage: Carmella is introduced as the most beautiful woman in the WWE. She poses in front of the camera while Liv Morgan watches in disgust in the background.
4th match
Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio with the Helluva Kick after two minutes – Rey Mysterio came out at the end of the match, but Dominik was not very pleased and wanted his father to stay away
After the match: Rey Mysterio gets into the ring and seeks a conversation with Dominik, who is very disappointed.
Backstage: Naomi approaches Sonya Deville because she wants a match. But Naomi should speak to Deville about this in the next week.
Backstage: Finn Bálor promises to win back the WWE Universal Champion title tonight.

Singles match
Edge vs. Seth Rollins
Becky Lynch & Bianca Belair signed a contract for the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match at WWE Extreme Rules.
Before the main event: The Usos attack and beat Finn Bálor. Jimmy & Jey push the ring staircase against Bálor’s ribs. When Jimmy wants to show a splash, The Street Profits storm out and chase The Usos through the crowd. After the final commercial break, Finn Bálor’s condition has checked. He’s battered, but can play the match.

5th match
WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (c) (w / Paul Heyman) defeated Finn Bálor via referee stoppage after Balor lost consciousness in the guillotine choke
After the match: Reings stands upright in the ring while his music plays. When Reigns leaves the ring and holds up his title, his entrance briefly interrupted by a red light and a heartbeat sound. This surprised and astonished Reigns. But what was that? A reference to “The Demon” or someone else? Reigns and Heyman move on. That ends the show.
