WWE SummerSlam 2021: John Cena will face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2021. The leader of the Cenation takes the place of Finn Bálor during the signing of the contract on SmackDown.

During the broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown through FOX it was confirmed that John Cena will face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2021.

Last week, John Cena challenged The Tribal Chief to a title match. A challenge that was rejected by Reigns. However, he accepted Finn Bálor’s challenge and they nearly to sign a contract.

After a confrontation between the two, Roman signed the agreement. And when The Prince was about to leave his signature. Baron Corbin attacked him to take his place and leave his signature.

Cena immediately stepped forward and slammed him into the cornerback and left his signature on the contract.

Although Paul Heyman spoke backstage with commissioners Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to invalidate the contract. They stressed that by having Reigns and John Cena signed the fight, and it approved by both and became official.

WWE SummerSlam 2021 will take place on August 21 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevadas. It will broadcast live & exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network internationally.
