After the highs of becoming Club World Cup winners, Bayern were back to domestic duties as they faced relegation threatened Arminia on a snowy night in Munich.
Vlap opened the scoring with a lovely finish for the visitors as Bayern were not able to cope with the new conditions on show from nature with thick snow covering the Allianz Arena.
Vlap continued the fine start with a delicious corner kick headed in by Peiper to make it 2-0. Bayern stunned by this approach did not hold back as they kept progressing in search of a return.
Lewandowski did not disappoint as he controlled a beautiful pass by his chest before lashing home to rake in his 25th goal of the season to pull one back. This meant he had 7 goals more than what Arminia have scored in the entire season.
In the second half, Arminia restored the two-goal cushion when left wing Andreas Voglsammer beat Sarr for pace and passed the ball across to Gabauer to tap home.
Goals from Tolisso and a thunderbolt from Alphonso Davies in the 57th and 69th Minute respectively brought it to 3-3.
Arminia’s Cordova thought he had won it but the goal was ruled offside 20 minutes from time as the home side rescue a point.
Even with the draw, Bayern stay 5 points clear at the top of the table with 49 points whereas Arminia Bielefeld continue to stay in the relegation zone, placed 16th with 18 points.
The Bavarians will want an immediate reaction as they square off against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday before a return to the Champions League where they continue to defend their crown against Lazio in a Round of 16 1st Leg encounter at Stadio Olimpico.
Arminia Bielefeld will look to build on this performance as they continue to look to climb their way out of danger in their next game against Wolfsburg on Friday.
