Chelsea clinch a 2-1 victory over Leicester City, Stays 3rd on points table. 

Chelsea beats Leicester City: Chelsea successfully conquered Leicester City with a score of 2-1 in the 37th week of the 2020/21 Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday (19/5/2021) early morning IST.

Two Chelsea winning goals each created by Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho’s penalty execution.  Meanwhile, Leicester had time to reduce the lag thanks to a goal from Kelechi Iheanacho.

Thanks to this result, Chelsea successfully overtook Leicester to third place in the standings. The Blues are now one point ahead of The Foxes, and Liverpool are peeking for opportunities to move up the position.

First round

Chelsea tried to appear aggressive from the first minute.  Unfortunately, a number of opportunities have failed to produce results.

A number of opportunities that Chelsea have still have not been able to produce goals, including Timo Werner’s two goals that then disallowed by VAR.

Second round

The second half has only been running for two minutes, Chelsea finally succeeded in breaking the deadlock through Rudiger’s action who continued the bait from Ben Chilwell’s corner.

Entering the 65th minute, Chelsea was awarded a penalty after Wesley Fofana violated Werner in the forbidden box.  Jorginho who acted as the executioner successfully carried out his duties properly.

Leicester doesn’t want to just give up.  Iheanacho also succeeded in narrowing the gap to 1-2 thanks to the goal he scored in the 76th minute.  This score also lasted until the game was over.
