EPL: Manchester City beat Arsenal 1-0, stay on top with 10 point lead

Manchester City continued their brilliant form with a 1-0 win at the Emirates against Arsenal on  Sunday courtesy a header from Sterling 75 seconds into the game.

This was City’s 18th straight win across all competitions giving them a ten point lead over Manchester United, who play Newcastle United tonight.

Sterling began proceedings by heading home a delicious cross from Mahrez within 75 seconds of the start. Gundogan and Sterling had their chances later on in the half but could not capitalize on them.

In the second half, it was the City juggernaut which took center stage just like the first half. Arsenal’s attack was limited to Saka as they could muster any opportunities. It stayed the same throughout as City created chances but could not finish them off.

City continue to be table toppers but with a ten point lead over the Red Devils. Arsenal stay on the 10th position with 34 points and will now need a miracle in order to cement a top 4 spot in order to play Champions League Football next season.
