Germany Euro 2020 squad: Joachim Löw’s Germany are set to conquer Europe once again as the 2014 World Cup winners aim to win the continental trophy as well.

Joachim Löw announced his departure from the Die Mannschaft side after the Euros with Hansi Flick set to take over.

Germany announced their 26-men Euro 2020 squad recently as they aim to win the title this time around.

The Germans got knocked out against France in the semi-finals of the 2016 tournament and aim to go one step further this time.

Manuel Neuer will captain the side and hope to give the outgoing manager a fitting farewell.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Captain), Bernd Leno, Kevin Trapp.

Defenders: Matthias Ginter, Antonio Rüdiger, Robin Gosens, Christian Günter, Marcel Halstenberg, Mats Hummels, Lukas Klostermann, Robin Koch, Niklas Süle.

Midfielders: Ilkay Gündogan, Toni Kroos, Emre Can, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Kai Havertz, Jonas Hoffmann, Leroy Sané, Florian Neuhaus.

Forwards: Timo Werner, Kevin Volland.

This is another strong 26-men squad picked up for the Euro 2020. The Germans have always been a side who consistently perform well during continental or world tournaments.

Even though they were knocked out in the 2018 World Cup group stage, Löw’s men are always ready for a comeback.

Müller and Hummels provide experience with their return to the national set up as they aim to repeat the 2014 World Cup heroics.

Leeds United’s Koch is another player to watch out for due to his excellent performances in the Premier League in the recent season. His tenaciousness and grit are features which make him a world beater.

Havertz, Werner would be high on confidence given their recent performance in the UCL final against City.

The Chelsea duo play an important role in the upcoming Euros and Löw would be keen to see them shine.

Volland was a keen performer in Monaco 3rd place finish in the Ligue 1 this season. The German side would bank on him and Werner for the goals.

Fixtures

Die Mannschaft find themselves in a tough Group F against the likes of Portugal, Hungary and France to contend with.

Their fixtures are as follows:

16th June: France vs Germany (12:30 AM IST)

19th June: Portugal vs Germany (09:30 PM IST)

24th June: Germany vs Hungary (12:30 AM IST)

Munich and Budapest are the hosts for the matches of Group F.
