Sebastien Haller matches Cristiano Ronaldo UCL record; scores in all group-stage matches


Haller UCL record: Sebastien Haller becomes only the second player in the history of UEFA Champions League to score in all six group-stage matches.

The 27-year-old slotted home a penalty in the ongoing MD 6 clash vs Sporting CP at home to join the elite list.

The Ajax and Ivory Coast forward joins Cristiano Ronaldo in elite company of having scored in all 6 group-stage matches of a UCL campaign.

After the 2017-18 season, this was a record in Cristiano Ronaldo’s grasp alone but now Sebastien Haller has got his name on the record as well.

Haller has scored 10* goals in the current UCL season for Ajax in just the group stage matches.

The forward opened his account on MD 1 with 4 goals followed by a goal each on MD 2, 3 and 4.

Ajax’s main man scored a brace on MD 5 before scoring from the spot tonight to make it 10 in the group stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the first player to create this record when he scored in all group stage matches enroute his successful 2017-18 UCL season with Real Madrid.

The Portuguese netted not only in all six of the group matches but recorded a total of 15 goals as Real Madrid won their 13th Champions League title beating Liverpool in the final at Kyiv.
