The Golden Boot is provided each season to the top league scorer from Europe across the top division. Hence, it is a challenge to outlast a number of players gunning for that award.

Across the game, we have seen some of the most prolific strikers who have upped their game under pressure and delivered when required to which ensures championship titles.

Robert Lewandowski

The Bayern Munich striker has risen his standards in recent times and has gone on to become one of the world’s most lethal strikers.

He has won 2 Golden Boots in successive seasons during his career and finds himself on the list.

From 2020-22, Lewandowski has been at the top of his game scoring 41 and 35 goals in respective seasons helping Bayern Munich to the summit of Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich has been one of Europe’s quality sides in the last 5 years with Lewandowski aiding their success.

Last season, he managed to beat Gerd Müller’s record of most goals in a single Bundesliga season (40) as Bayern won their 9th successive league.

The Uruguayan striker is next in line having won 2 Golden Boots as well in 2013-14 and 2015-16.

In both those successful seasons, he represented Liverpool and Barcelona respectively scoring 31 and 40 goals.

Suarez helped the two sides to a 2nd place and winners position finish in the two seasons where he excelled.

Luis Suarez is one of the greats to have played the game having found success in every league he has been a part of from the Premier League to the La Liga.

His trickery runs and quick feet have given defenders a run for their money and when he is in full flow, the South American international is a delight to the viewers.

Arsenal saw the best of Henry in the 2003-04 season as they finished the season undefeated and were given the name ‘Invincibles’.

Rest assured, the Gunners won the EPL that season where Henry scored 30 goals in the competition.

In the following season, Henry once again won the Boot scoring 25 league goals as Arsenal finished runners-up behind Chelsea.

His first award came in 2007-08 for Manchester United when he scored 31 EPL goals that season to help United to the Premiership title.

Ronaldo won the remaining 3 at Real Madrid during the 2010-11, 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons scoring 40, 31 and 48 goals respectively.

CR7 not only went to Spain and conquered Real Madrid, he also became the leading club goal-scorer of all time and won innumerable plaudits during his nine-year reign with Los Blancos.
