Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in a thrilling 1st leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals at the Allianz Arena last night.
This win puts Bayern under pressure as they will need to score 2 or more without conceding if they stand a chance to stay in the competition in next week’s return leg.
Mbappé scored a brace along with Marquinhos to seal the deal for the visiting Parisians.
Choupo Moting and Müller scored for Bayern too but it was not enough.
In a snow-filled Allianz Arena, this game was the pick of the quarterfinals and it did not disappoint.

Navaz showed some sort of urgency as he stopped Harnendez shot.
Choupo-Moting nearly opened the scoring for the home side but his glancing header clipped the top of the bar to keep the scores level.
ImageImageBut Paris Saint-Germain did not have to wait any longer as Kylian Mbappé’s strike put the visitors 1-0 ahead in the 3rd minute.
The Frenchman hit his shot straight at the keeper, who could not keep it from going in to give PSG the perfect start.
Müller nearly restored parity within minutes but could only strike his tame effort straight at Navas.
Navas was once again in the thick of things as he denied Gortezka’s low header with a vital stop by his feet.
Choupo-Moting had a chance fall to him as well but could only steer his strike wide.
ImageIt was double trouble at the other end as Marquinhos slotted an effort past Neuer to send the Parisians 2-0 ahead in the 28th minute.
Bayern failed to get out of a corner and Neymar send a cross towards the skipper, who scores with precision to send Paris two goals up.
ImageBayern pulled up back within the next few minutes as Choupo-Moting glanced his precise header from Pavard’s cross in the 37th minute to make it 2-1.
It was an open and attacking match right from the word go and the half panned out exactly as billed with both sides having their opportunities to put one over the other.
PSG almost began the second-half in the manner they wanted as Neuer was made to save Neymar’s shot. Davies cleared the ball off the line from Di Maria’s rebound.
Müller had his shot saved at the other end by Navas to keep the away side in charge.
ImageBut it was consistency and egging from Bayern which finally led to Müller scoring in the 60th minute to restore parity and make it 2-2.
Miller rose highest to Kimmich’s delicious cross ball and glanced his header home to get the home side on level terms.
ImageMbappé grabbed the clincher and his second for the night with a crisp strike to go 3-2 ahead in the 68th minute.
It was once again the attacking prowess which made Bayern’s defense nervous and they give in.
Di Maria releases Mbappé into space before the Frenchman ran at Boateng and slotted home to give Neuer no chance.
Bayern kept knocking at the door through Choupo-Moting, Alaba and Muller’s efforts but it was not enough.
It finished 3-2 in favour of the Parisians and now Bayern have it all to do in the return leg next week.
Bayern were very good in the second half after being two down and did very well to make a comeback.
