Cristiano Ronaldo was back to business with a brace of headers and a strike from McKennie, his fifth this season; as Juventus rattled lowly ranked Crotone 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium on Monday.
The Portuguese picked his spot when he headed home from Alex Sandro’s cross to make it 1-0.
The Cr7 Airlines flight took off yet again when Ronaldo had a powerful drive saved by Cordez before Ramsey got onto the loose ball to cross it in for Cristiano, who with a towering header made it 2-0.
It was an exquisite leap. He gave that moment where he levitates at the apex of his jump similar to the goal against Sampdoria, but this one was not as good as that one.
McKennie made it 3-0 after Ciesa’s cross was headed down by De Ligt into the path of the American national who lashed it home.
Juventus had plenty of chances in the game with Ronaldo missing two easy opportunities as per his standards. Ramsey too had a chance gone begging. Bernadeschi shot over the bar and Ciesa missed his chances too. It could have been a field day for Juventus had they taken their chances.
There were plenty of records broken tonight by the Portuguese being that Crotone was the 78th different side Ronaldo had scored against across his time in the top five European Leagues, where he has featured for Manchester United, Real Madrid and, now, Juventus with only Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of him who had scored against 79 sides.
Tonight’s goals meant that Ronaldo had now scored against every team in the Serie A currently. He has taken his tally to 18 goals for this season in the league and 70 in the Serie A since arriving here.
Crotone had no shots on target by the end of the first half and had a couple later on in the second but were not enough to test Buffon.
Juventus move up to the 3rd position and are eight points adrift of Inter Milan with a game in hand securing 45 points.
Crotone are in jeopardy as they are in the wooden spoon position having only 12 points to their name.
