With the WC set to be a first in mid-season, many players are battling injuries and must \miss the Qatar 2022 event due to them.

Injuries have forced teams to rejig their plans for the upcoming World Cup and need to do without certain key players.

Paul Pogba

Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United during the summer but struggled with a knee injury and delayed surgery keeping him out on the side-lines.

He alongside Kanté, who formed a formidable pair for Les Bleus in their 2018 success will miss the Qatar 2022 event due to injuries.

Marco Reus’ ankle injury forced him out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 as well making it a 4th major tournament being missed due to injury.

Reus has earlier missed the 2014 WC, 2016 Euros, 2020 Euros for Germany, making him one of the unluckiest players to miss out for the nation.

The Dortmund midfielder must sit on the side-lines for Die Mannschaft this time but will be backing his team to go the distance.

Wijnaldum fractured his tibia early on during the start of the season for AS Roma, and has since not appeared for the Serie A side.
