Last FIFA WC: The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to be the last FIFA WC for many all-time great players; who will step onto the shores of Qatar in 2022.
Some of the all-time great players will make their presence felt in the middle-east when they represent their nation in the Qatar event in November.

The 2018 man of the tournament and Croatia captain Luka Modric is one of the players to play in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Modric has been a part of three World Cup events and at the age of 37 will play his last WC in 2022.

The Uruguayan duo are set to represent their nation in the 2022 edition as well.
Suarez and Cavani have etched in their name in the history of Uruguayan football through their impressive displays and commitment.

The two are aged 35 at the time of the tournament in 2022 and it will be hard to see them play the next event in 4 years-time.
They hope to take Uruguay to the limit and finish their international careers on a high.

The 34-year-old Polish goal-scorer is another lad who will probably play his last ever FIFA World Cup in 2022.
Poland’s leading international goal-scorer has played in just the 2018 edition of the FIFA WC.
Lewandowski’s fitness has been commendable despite the increased number of matches played in the modern game, but he could well wrap up his international career post the World Cup.
The 2022 edition is set to be his last FIFA World Cup where he hopes to enjoy his remaining time with the nation.

Messi has reiterated his decision of bringing down the curtains on his international career post the Qatar event.

Argentina is on a 35-match unbeaten streak and in relentless touch ahead of the World Cup and the entire country would be hoping to see Messi win the pinnacle prize.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo captains Portugal in the 2022 event which will be his 5th successive World Cup.
At 37, Ronaldo has vowed to play in the Euro 2024 as well but in terms of WC’s, it could be his last one in Portugal colors.

Cristiano Ronaldo is an optimistic player but given recent performances and concerns with an aging body, we do not expect to see the great man in 2026.
