Most goals in International Break: The recently concluded international break saw a number of players have their shooting boots on as they fired home.

This was the last international break for the year as the next one would be the one for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar in November.

Teams recently had their last preparatory sessions before the upcoming event and hoped to have completed their preparations well.

We look at the top 5 players who scored the most goals in this completed international break as they kept their form under check ahead of the World Cup.

Mitrovic continued his rich vein of form by scoring 4 goals in the break for Serbia.

He started off with a hat-trick against Sweden on MD 5 of the Nations League followed by a goal against Serbia in the victory over Norway.

His goals helped Serbia get promoted to the Nations League A and gives them the confidence of going well in the World Cup.

The Serbian is their best striking option and him being in form puts Serbia in good stead as they have a difficult group in the Qatar event.

Messi scored 4 times in 2 matches during the break as he stretched Argentina’s unbeaten run to 35 matches across competitions ahead of the WC.

A brace each against Honduras and Jamaica was enough for Messi to continue his belligerent form.

With the goals, he reached 90 goals for his nation and hopes to continue the form and fire his nation to another World Cup crown.
